Vision

The Faculty of Economics and Management pursues the vision of the National University of Timor Lorosa'e, which is to be the Center of Excellence for Higher Education in Timor-Leste.The Faculty of Economics and Management pursues its own vision, which is the promotion and training of human resources in the field of Economics and Management with a quality of excellence within the framework of the sustainable and balanced development of the National Economy.

Mission

The Faculty of Economics and Management has the mission to promote teaching, scientific research, and community service in its respective areas of knowledge.In fulfilling its mission, the Faculty of Economics and Management contributes to the scientific, technical, and cultural training of students, and to the social, economic, and cultural development of Timor-Leste.

Our Journey

History

The Foundation

The Faculty of Economics and Management is the organic unit of the National University of Timor Lorosa'e responsible for Teaching and Research in the areas of Management, Economics, and Social Service to the Community, as defined in the Faculty's Statutes.

This faculty was founded in 1998, integrated into Universitas Timor Timur, under the name "Fakultas Ekonomi". Following independence, social leaders and thinkers began the foundation of the National University of Timor Lorosa'e (UNTL) on November 17, 2000, under the auspices of UNTAET. The name Faculty of Economics was used from 2000 to 2013. After the approval of the Faculty Statutes by the University General Council on July 3, 2013, the faculty has since existed as the "Faculty of Economics and Management"
